Joan Jett and The Blackhearts will release a new album on October 1st. Unvarnished will be Jett’s first release since 2006’s Sinner and will feature guest performances by Dave Grohl.
The first single, Any Weather, will be debuted by the band on Jimmy Kimmel Live on 8th August. The remainder of the album is reported to contain songs about Hurricane Sandy and the death of Jett’s parents.
Against Me’s Laura Jane Grace is also set to feature on the LP which Jett described as “…a real band album. Everyone was involved.”
