Kurt Vile to release new collaborative EP

KVEPKurt Vile has announced the release of a new EP.

The record, Jamaica Plain, will feature three songs recorded in the early 2000s with Sore Eros, aka Robert Robinson, himself once a member of Vile’s band, The Violators. The tracks were recorded in Vile’s hometown of Philadelphia, and in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts.

The EP will be available on 4th November as a 10″ vinyl and digital download.

Meanwhile, Vile has also been presented with Philadelphia’s Liberty Bell Award, after it was announced that 28th August will now be known in the city as Kurt Vile Day. The award is the highest honour the city can bestow upon one of its citizens and is only eligible to be received by natives of the area. It is presented in recognition of outstanding professional achievements and civic generosity.
