A preview has been released for the forthcoming ‘lost’ Johnny Cash album, Out Among The Stars.
The late singer’s estate revealed earlier in December that the album had been found in the Sony Music Archive by his son, John Carter Cash. It will be released on March 24th, 2014.
The collection was recorded between 1981 and 1984 in Nashville and is made up of 12 previously unheard songs.
“When my parents passed away, it became necessary to go through this material,” says John Carter Cash. “We found these recordings that were produced by Billy Sherrill in the early 1980s… they were beautiful.”
Out Among The Stars will be the fourth posthumous release since Cash’s death in 2003, and the first since 2010’s American VI: Ain’t No Grave.
