Former Audioslave bandmates Chris Cornell and Tom Morello are to play together at a charity benefit show, the pair have revealed.
The two musicians joined forces when Audioslave formed in 2001 after the break up of legendary bands Soundgarden and Rage Against The Machine. The group enjoyed a six year, three album run before Cornell left citing “personal and musical differences.” Morello, along with Audioslave bandmates Tim Commerford and Brad Wilk, returned to Rage Against The Machine, and Cornell regrouped with Soundgarden in 2010.
The two men will reunite on stage in Seattle on the 26th of September at a concert raising funds and awareness of the 15 Now campaign, which aims to raise the US minimum wage to $15 per hour.
Morello will headline the show in his Nightwatchman persona, with Cornell appearing as a guest during the acoustic set.
