Black Star Riders reveal details of second LP

Black Star Riders have revealed that their second album, The Killer Instinct, will be released next year via Nuclear Blast.

The 10 track LP will be released in February to coincide with the group beginning their tour across the UK and Europe.

Says frontman Ricky Warwick: “Life’s not fair. Never has been, never will be. Sometimes you have to live with a killer instinct just to survive in the pursuit of happiness. Nobody can do for you what you should be doing for yourself.”

The album was set to be produced by Def Leppard frontman Joe Elliot, but he backed out of the project citing time pressures. The disc has therefore been produced by Nick Raskulinecz instead.

Says BSR guitarist Damon Johnson: “Nick proved to be the world-class producer we’d heard so much about. He patiently walked through the full song list with the entire band, and made sure we focused on the material to best represent Black Star Riders in 2015.”
