Girlschool have announced that they will begin recording a new album in January with Chris Tsangarides in the producer’s chair.
In an update on their Facebook page, the all-female NWOBHM band said that they will begin recording sessions on the 26th of January. The new record will be Girlschool’s 13th studio LP and their first since 2011’s Hit and Run – Revisited.
Tsangarides is legendary in the world of metal, having produced such seminal bands as Judas Priest, Helloween, Thin Lizzy, Gary Moore and Anvil.
Of Tsangarides appointment Girschool said simply: “It can’t get better than that. Are you excited?”
