Marmozets have announced their biggest UK headline tour to date.
The band will play nine dates across the UK in February next year and have shared a previously unreleased track in celebration.
“Broken Reflection” was recorded during the sessions for Marmozets’ debut album, The Weird & Wonderful Marmozets, and is available to download for free until the 21st of December.
Said frontwoman Becca Macintyre when speaking to Metal Hammer magazine recently: “We were always that weird band who didn’t really fit in anywhere. Because we didn’t listen to other bands we had no real template or reference points for our music when we started.
“I think that worked to our advantage – we weren’t copying anyone. It was only when Sam Macintyre and Jack Bottomley discovered really technical mathcore bands that we started to pursue a certain direction.”
Tickets for the February dates go on sale this Friday at 9am via Live Nation. Support on the tour will come from Steak Number Eight and Thought Forms.
Confirmed dates are as follows:
Feb 18th: Portsmouth Wedgewood Rooms
Feb 19th: London Electric Ballroom
Feb 20th: Bristol Fleece
Feb 21st: Nottingham Rescue Rooms
Feb 23rd: Manchester Academy 3
Feb 24th: Glasgow Garage
Feb 25th: Newcastle Riverside
Feb 27th: Leeds Beckett Student Union
Feb 28th: Birmingham Library at The Institute
