Norwegian progressive rockers White Willow have shared a new track.
The band describe their cover version of the Scorpion’s “Animal Magnetism” as “unorthodox.” Featuring a clarinet solo by musician David Krakauer, the song is White Willow’s first material to feature new vocalist Venke Knutson and follows on from their 2011 album release Terminal Twilight.
Say White Willow in a statement: “This version melds driving Tangerine Dream-like synths with doomy, motorik rhythms.
“Venke is a big star in her own right in Norway – that she’s chosen to work with us is a great honour. Grammy-nominated David has recorded with John Zorn and released several albums on the prestigious Tzadik label.”
