Kobra And The Lotus pay tribute to Canadian artists on new covers EP

Kobra And The Lotus have announced that they are to release a covers EP featuring songs from their favourite Canadian artists.

The band – who come from Calgary – will release Words Of The Prophets on the 28th of August via Titan Music. The release is set to feature music by the likes of Rush, Triumph and Alannah Myles.

Says vocalist Kobra Paige: “Kobra And The Lotus is a riff-loving, vocal-wailing, storm-bringing band. We couldn’t do what we do without paying homage to the true roots that were laid down before us.

“Words Of The Prophets is a tribute to those great Canadian classic rock influences that have set the foundation for music magic since we first heard these songs playing on the radio as little kids. They carry a ton of nostalgia, inspire ambitious journeys, and we hope to rub some of that off on you.”

Kobra And The Lotus’ most recent album, High Priestess, was released last year. They are currently out on tour and will play a series of dates in the UK in June and July.
