Bring Me The Horizon to air new track this weekend?

Those paying attention to the rock and metal press this week can’t help but have noticed the furor surrounding Bring Me The Horizon’s new umbrella campaign.

The band have been using their social media in recent days to share the umbrella icon in the form of tattoos, discretely placed posters and signs. The image has quickly gone viral among fans of the Sheffield metalcore band and one video snippet, shared via Instagram earlier this week, contained what might have been a very brief clip of new music, too.

But the group’s latest tease suggests that a complete new track is on the way this weekend. Another Instagram post shared this morning contains the image of a smiley face and the cryptic clue “XCVII.XCIX-VII.XX-XII.VII.”

In the modern parlance that reads “97.99-7.20-12.7”, which speculation has it means that a new BMTH track will be played this Sunday on BBC Radio 1’s Rock Show hosted by Daniel P. Carter.

BBC Radio 1 broadcasts the Rock Show on 97-99 FM every Sunday evening from 7pm, with this Sunday being the 12th of July. We suggest you keep your ears pealed around 7:20pm!
