The UK’s Then Thickens have revealed further details of their new album, Colic, and shared the LP’s first single “My Amsterdam.”
Colic will be the quartet’s second full length album and is the follow up to their acclaimed 2014 LP, Death Cap At Anglezarke. It’s due for release on the 23rd of October via Hatch.
Says Then Thickens frontman Jon-Lee Martin of the new single: “My Amsterdam is the little shot of adrenalin you get after your pining and longing for something had been answered. Waiting for drugs seems to create a powerful and weird hyper sensitivity within people. I find that hilarious and wanted to capture that moment somehow; along with the glorious relief of a safe arrival. We all flexed our muscles on this one a little, the arrangement left an open door but we kicked its hinges off anyway.”
Colic was funded in part by the PRS Music Foundation and Momentum Music Fund, in association with the Deezer music streaming service.
