Greek metal trio The Slayerking, the band featuring Efthimis Karadimas from Nightfall, have released a video for their new track “Southern Gate of the Sun.”

The song is set to feature on the band’s forthcoming debut album, Sanatana Dharma.

Recorded at Soundflakes studios in Athens and mixed by Kaelin Tauxe at Upright Mammal Musicworks in Atlanta, Sanatana Dharma is set for release on the 18th of January via French label Finisterian Dead End.

Say the band of the new track: “The song is about a fire that took place in Brescia, Italy in 1769 when lightning struck the church of San Nazaro claiming the lives of 3,000 faithful sheep. Churches at the time refused to install the recently invented lightning rods. Priests and bishops believed such tools were against god’s will…

“Apparently god was not in a good mood that day. Fire he shouted and fire spitted without mercy.”
