The West Country’s finest, Reef, have released a new song.
It’s a cover of the gospel hymn “How I Got Over”, made famous in popular music by the likes of Mahalia Jackson and Aretha Franklin.
The song having been originally composed and published in 1951 by Clara Ward, Reef’s cover is the follow up to the band’s 2014 release, Barking At Trees, and precedes a new live album, Reef: Live At St Ives, which will be released on the 11th of March.
Reef’s version of “How I Got Over” was produced by long-term collaborator George Drakoulias, with the new live album having been recorded last October at St Ives Guildhall.
