Matt Woods shares visually arresting video for biting new single ‘The American Way’

Matt Woods The American Way 2016

Matt Woods has shared a visually arresting video for his hard-hitting new single “The American Way.”

The track is taken from Woods’ new album, How To Survive, due for release in October.

Directed by Chris Metts for Goldstream Productions, the clip sees Woods staring down the camera lens delivering his impassioned and biting take on how the American way all too often plays out for those who work hardest to survive within it.

Interspersed with cinematic vignettes depicting blue-collar family and working lives, Woods’ deft poetry opines that it’s “…The American way / Bottle rockets in the air on Independence Day / Working harder for a dollar so we all can pay / To die the American way.”

You can watch the video below.

Matt’s new album, How To Survive, is available for pre-order now. Those placing an order will receive a free download of “The American Way” ahead of the album’s release later this year.
