Iron Maiden live 2016 large

Iron Maiden are set to play the final show of The Book Of Souls World Tour on the 4th of August at Wacken Open Air Festival and are going to be live-streaming the whole show.

ARTE Concert will feature the entire iconic performance via Livestream, promising lavish camera attention and access from anywhere in the world.

Iron Maiden Manager Rod Smallwood says: “We decided to finish the tour at Wacken as it is the ideal way to end this magical tour playing to 80,000 core metal fans at this legendary Metal festival. Everywhere we’ve played the fans have been amazing and the reaction to the new songs and stage show has been phenomenal. The band has loved every minute on stage.

“So when Wacken and ARTE asked us to consider a live stream of our performance there we jumped at the chance to give our fans an end of tour gift. Streaming this final show live globally allows us to thank the many fans we played to so far, and, for those who couldn’t get to see us this time round, a chance to see just how spectacular the live concert is and what they missed!”

Say Holger Hübner and Thomas Jensen of ICS and Wacken in a joint statement: “We are incredibly happy to be able to give all these Iron Maiden and Wacken Open Air fans, worldwide, this highlight at the close of the spectacular ‘Book of Souls’ Tour.

“Heavy Metal fans are the best fans in the world, and Iron Maiden fans are unparalleled. It is so brilliant that everybody who could not get a ticket for the W:O:A will be able to enjoy this ‘Night To Remember’.”

Iron Maiden’s The Book of Souls World Tour has been on the road since late February, playing to over 1.5 million fans with 72 shows in 36 counties and six continents.

Iron Maiden at Wacken Open Air with The Book Of Souls World Tour is on Thursday, 4th August, from 9.30 pm CET. You can watch exclusive and worldwide on Livestream at http://concert.arte.tv/de/wacken and http://www.wacken.com.

Jenny Hval details new album ‘Blood Bitch’ and streams new track ‘Female Vampire’

Jenny Hval 2016

Jenny Hval has confirmed that she will release her new album, Blood Bitch, on the 30th of September.

It will be the follow up to the Norwegian artist’s 2015 release, Apocalypse, Girl.

Says Hval of the new material: “Blood Bitch is an investigation of blood. Blood that is shed naturally. The purest and most powerful, yet most trivial, and most terrifying blood – menstruation. The white and red toilet roll chain which ties together the virgins, the whores, the mothers, the witches, the dreamers, and the lovers.

Blood Bitch is also a fictitious story, fed by characters and images from horror and exploitation films of the 70s. With that language, rather than smart, modern social commentary, I found I could tell a different story about myself and my own time – a poetic diary of modern transience and transcendence.”

You can hear a new track from the album, Female Vampire, via the stream below. Be sure to check it out and let us know what you think.
