Allusondrugs appeal to fans after theft of two guitars in South London following sold out show

UK alt-rock band Allusondrugs have made an appeal to fans after the theft of two guitars from their tour van.

One handmade blue Stratocaster and one stock black Stratocaster were stolen from the band’s vehicle while they were in South London following a sold out show at Camden’s Black Heart venue.

“Last night in South London some low life broke into our van and stole 2 of our guitars,” Allusondrugs said in a Facebook post. “Drey’s Handmade Blue Stratocaster and Jason’s Stock Black Stratocaster were both stolen. We urge anyone in and around London to keep an eye out for our guitars.

“Please share this far and wide for us. If anyone would like to help us out further you can grab some merch from our website – every little helps. Thank you all x.”

Drey’s blue Strat is described as: “Roadworn Baby Blue Fender Stratocaster, handmade by Ackworth Guitar Setups. Carved Body – literally one of a kind. Exposed Tremolo Cavity. Distinct notes: Small crack at bottom of neck joint which extends into the body.”

Jason’s black Strat is described as: “Black Squire Stratocaster (Fat Headstock). Cream Scratchplate. Very Roadworn. Red / Black chequered strap. Distinct notes: Dave Grohl Signature on scratchplate.”

MassMatiks share video for new single ‘4AM’, announce support slots for Allusondrugs

MassMatiks promo 2016

UK four piece MassMatiks have released a video for their second single, “4AM.”

With frontman George Peploe’s fierce vocal performance front and centre, the track soon puts its gentle opening lament to rest, evolving into a driving, riff-led melodic chorus.

Inspired by a past breakup, Peploe comments on the video for “4AM” saying: “We wanted to connect the story of the song with the video, so we came up with the idea of setting up TVs and playing what was going through my head at the time.

“As the song goes on, so does the narrative in the video. Trashing the TVs felt like the natural thing to do to reflect the emotions I felt during the breakup – not gonna lie, it was fun too…”

You can check out the clip below.

Following their headline show at London’s Old Blue Last on the 13th July, MassMatiks will make their next live appearance at this year’s Y Not Festival in Matlock on the 21st of July.

They will then head out on the road in August, supporting UK psych-pop-grunge outfit Allusondrugs.
