Anti-Flag stream new album ‘American Spring’ in full ahead of release

Anti_Flag_2015

Pittsburgh punks Anti-Flag are streaming their new album in full ahead of its official release.

American Spring has been premiered by Amnesty International as part of their Art For Amnesty platform and you can listen to it below.

Say Anti-Flag: “Amnesty International is an organization that actually saves lives. Daily, their mission is to speak up and stand up for those who cannot for themselves. The record American Spring is about the very same idea. We have been honoured to have Amnesty International table our shows and spread the agenda of human rights and equality, continuing the battle against injustice. Having them premiere our record is a truly humbling experience.”

American Spring will be released on the 25th of May via Spinefarm.

Anti-Flag will play four shows in the UK in August with confirmed dates as follows:

02nd Aug: London @ The Old Blue Last (am and pm shows)
06th Aug: Blackpool @ Rebellion Festival
08th Aug: London @ Brooklyn Bowl – PUNKS AND PINS
09th Aug: Bristol @ The Marble Factory

Anti-Flag premiere video for ‘Brandenburg Gate’ feat. Rancid’s Tim Armstrong

Anti Flag 2015

Punk rock icons Anti-Flag have shared a video for their new track “Brandenburg Gate.”

The song is lifted from the band’s brand new album – and their first for Spinefarm Records – American Spring, due out on the 25th of May.

The song and video feature a guest appearance from punk legend Tim Armstrong of Rancid.

Say Anti-Flag of the video: “A culture indoctrinated with violence will see and fear violence even when there is none. Activism is not a competition. Art doesn’t have to be safe. Revolution doesn’t have to be bloody. Change comes from people, not politicians.”

The band will play four UK shows in August as part of a wider European tour:

02nd Aug: London, The Old Blue Last (am and pm shows)
06th Aug: Blackpool, Rebellion Festival
08th Aug: London, Brooklyn Bowl – PUNKS AND PINS
09th Aug: Bristol, The Marble Factory

The song is lifted from their forthcoming LP American Spring, due out on the 25th of May and their debut for Spinefarm Records.

Anti-Flag have said of “Fabled World” that “this song was inspired by the failure of the Obama era.”

“We may live in a “Fabled World,” and we are here to debunk that myth one riff, one lyric, one show, one person at a time, encouraging political discourse and reminding us all that knowledge is power, so educate and inform yourself. We are The Resistance,” continues the release.

Check out the video for “Fabled World” below:

American Spring is available for pre-order now. Bundle options include a skate deck, an eco-friendly tote bag, notebook, hoodie, shirts, Deluxe Die-Cut Gatefold LP Opaque Pink Vinyl, limited to 1400 copies worldwide, and more.
