Huntress promo

Huntress have shared clips of all 11 tracks from their new album.

Static is due for release on the 25th of September via Napalm Records and is the follow up to 2013’s Starbound Beast.

Vocalist Jill Janus said recently of the new material: ““The evolution of Huntress bleeds into Static. It is the heaviest and catchiest record we’ve written.”

The band were forced to cancel a planned September US tour to give Janus time to recover from recent uterine cancer surgery. They’ll be returning to active service on the 28th of September when they join the 2015 Motörhead Motorboat Cruise in Florida.

Static is available now to pre-order and you can listen to clips from the album via the stream below.

Listen to clips from Jimmy Page’s new ‘Sound Tracks’ box set

Jimmy Page - Sound Tracks

Led Zeppelin guitar legend Jimmy Page has revealed details of his new box set that brings together music he composed for films Lucifer Rising and Death Wish II, along with other archive material.

The limited edition Sound Tracks box will be released on the 6th of March and is available to pre-order now.

Three versions of the set are available via Page’s official website including CD and Vinyl editions, each featuring four discs, or a £400 limited Deluxe Edition signed by Page himself.

Speaking to Uncut magazine last year, Page said: “There’s something coming out which I’m really excited about. It’s the mix that I did [of Lucifer Rising] but I’m leaving the guitar on it, it’s got a 12 string that is the guide guitar showing me where I’m going to do the overdub. This isn’t what goes to [director] Kenneth Anger, because I didn’t want hardly any guitar at all. The mix is really really superb, I’m really proud of it. And I’ve got some experimental music that was done with bow and Theremin which is like, hang on to your seats, because it really, really is something else, it’s disturbing. I’ve got some home stuff that I did at the same studio or equipment that I did Lucifer Rising on, with sort of that whole guitar textures and overdubs. I think people want to hear that.”
