King 810 are set to share a brand new track this weekend.

The world premiere of “I Ain’t Goin’ Back Again” will take place this Sunday, the 24th of July on the UK’s BBC Radio 1 Rock Show with Daniel P. Carter from 7pm BST.

The band made the announcement via their social media accounts.

King 810 had previously teased that new material was on the way with a behind the scenes video featuring artist Caio Henrique Cain creating a mural for the song on a wall in Santa Barbara D’Oeste, Brazil.

David Gunn and crew shared a video for their track “Carve My Name” last month, indicating that it would be the last clip they would release for material from their debut album, Memoirs Of A Murderer.

In recent months King 810 have been heavily involved in helping to combat the effects of the contamination of the water supply in their home of Flint, Michigan. A state of emergency was declared in the city last December after the local water supply became contaminated with lead.

BBC Radio 1, the UK’s nationwide flagship radio station of the BBC, has announced that it is to broadcast a new show dedicated to rock and metal music.

The corporation revealed it’s shakeup of the Radio 1 schedule yesterday, including the new format Rock Show which will be hosted by Daniel P. Carter, and broadcast on a Sunday evening between 7pm and 10pm. It will follow on directly from the station’s Official UK Chart rundown, and the announcement of that week’s number one single.

The changes are due to take effect from the 1st of September. The BBC says that it needs to make the alterations to the schedule in order to save costs, bring new broadcasting talent through the corporation, and keep the station fresh in line with it’s audience’s expectations.

Ben Cooper, Controller, Radio 1 & 1Xtra, said: “These cuts to our budget are hurting, it means I have had to make some tough choices and say goodbye to some friends and respected colleagues. I believe these new schedules continue to innovate, reflect and celebrate the UK’s youth and music culture.”

Daniel P Carter said of the new Rock Show: “To be starting the show directly after the announcement of the UK number one is obviously amazing and to be in the position where my show is an alternative option to the Simon Cowell circus is also a beautiful thing. If that’s your bag then all good, but I’m stoked that The Rock Show will be in a slot that reflects the importance of a genre that is now, and always will be, in great shape because it is everything to the people that love it.”

Horns up! \m/
