Metal All Stars 2014

An all star evening featuring a host of metal’s finest is on its way to the UK capital.

The Metal All Stars event is set to feature appearances from members of Black Label Society, Manowar, Dream Theater, Anthrax, Venom, Megadeth and Testament amongst others. In short, its possibly going to be the finest – and yet shortest lived! – metal supergroup ever seen.

Dream Theater’s James Labrie has shared a message talking about the forthcoming show:

The event takes place on Tuesday 16th December at the Brixton O2 Academy, with tickets available now via Ticketmaster.

Machine Head announce December UK tour dates

Machine Head are to return to the UK in December for an 11 date tour.

The winter shows follow quickly on the heels of the band’s Killers & Kings gigs in early August, and will be Machine Head’s first full headline tour of the UK since 2011.

Frontman Robb Flynn has said that the concerts will feature material from the band’s eighth album, due for release via Nuclear Blast prior to the newly announced dates.

“We’re really excited – we can’t fucking wait to play new music for all you Headcases,” he said. “We have some great support bands lined up, so come out and rage.”

Support will come in the form of Devil You Know and Darkest Hour, with tickets going on sale this Friday via LiveNation and Ticketmaster

Watch! Joe Elliott’s Down ‘n’ Outz release new single and video

Joe Elliott’s side project, Down ‘n’ Outz, are to release a new single.

“One Of The Boys” will be lifted from their The Further Adventures Of… album and is a cover of the Mott The Hoople song that originally featured on the B-side of their 1972 hit single “All The Young Dudes.”

Ian Hunter of Mott The Hoople said of the recordings: “I’m blown away… These songs really suit Joe’s voice also. It’s a whole different side to him and the project gets my approval!”

Arch Enemy release video for new track “You Will Know My Name”

Arch Enemy have released the video for new track, “You Will Know My Name.”

The song is set to feature on the band’s new album, War Eternal, which is due for release on the 9th of June via Century Media Records.

The album will be the first to feature new vocalist, Alissa White-Gluz.
