Electric Wizard have revealed that they are working on a new studio album.
The whereabouts of the wild and free cult leaders – and the recording/mixing details – are not currently known, but the new collection is expected in time for Halloween and more news is sure to follow in due course.
The album will be the follow-up to 2014’s Time to Die and will be the second release on the band’s Witchfinder Records imprint, the result of a worldwide deal with Spinefarm.
Electric Wizard are set to play the following live dates througout the year
12th Jul: Download, Castle Donington, UK
28th Jul: Metal Days, Tolmin, Slovenia
13th Aug: Brutal Assault, Czech Republic
26th Aug: Psycho Las Vegas, Las Vegas, US

Electric Wizard recently headlined Desertfest in both Berlin and London, finishing off the festivals (and the attendees’ ear drums) with the sort of performances that have seen them hailed as the true gate-keepers of UK metal’s great & glorious traditions.
Electric Wizard are set to return to the UK capital in 2016 as headliners for next year’s Desertfest, London Edition.
Now in its fifth consecutive year, Desertfest’s mammoth offering of stoner, doom, sludge, psych and all its attendant sub-genres will take place from April 29th – May 1st across multiple venues, in the legendary London musical hub of Camden Town.
Electric Wizard are the first headliners to be revealed, and amongst the first bands to be announced, alongside Elder, Conan, Raging Speedhorn and Witchsorrow.
You can keep up to date with all the details of next year’s event via www.thedesertfest.com. Weekend tickets are priced at £100.
Electric Wizard’s most recent album was 2014’s Time To Die, their eighth studio LP and the band’s first for Spinefarm Records.
Ahead of the London date, the band will also release a new single “Lucifer’s Slaves”. The song will be available on 10” vinyl & download, complete with exclusive artwork designed by the band themselves plus previously unreleased material.
The show and single follow in the wake of Electric Wizard’s new album Time To Die, released earlier this year. It is the band’s eighth studio LP and their first via Spinefarm Records.
Meanwhile, Electric Wizard will be appearing at CTM 2015 – Un Tune ‘Festival For Adventurous Music & Art’, due to take place at various venues across Berlin between the 23rd of January and 1st of February. Tickets and festival info can be found at www.ctm-festival.de
