Patti Smith to play Horses in full at UK festival

Patti Smith has confirmed that she will play her renowned album Horses in its entirety at a UK festival next year.

The Field Day festival will take place in on the 6th and 7th of June 2015 in Victoria Park, London, with other confirmed performers including Caribou, Ride, DIIV, Django Django, Owen Pallet and Jagaara.

Smith previously revealed that she would celebrate the 40th anniversary of Horses with some special one-off shows in New York, Paris and London, but hasn’t yet confirmed whether she will play any additional dates.

Kim Shattuck ‘disappointed’ to leave Pixies

Kim ShattuckKim Shattuck has left the Pixies, reports Uncut.

Shattuck only joined the band formally this summer after previous bassist and long-time member Kim Deal left in 2012. Shattuck has posted on Twitter that she is “disappointed” with the decision.

Meanwhile, Pixies have been announced as the headline act for next year’s Field Day Festival in London, taking place on June 8th. It remains to be seen who will play bass on the day.
