Forever Still share video for new single ‘Break The Glass’

Forever Still Break The Glass vid cap

Danish metal band Forever Still have released a video for their new single “Break The Glass.”

The track is lifted from the group’s debut full length album, Tied Down, released in January.

Forever Still vocalist Maja Schønning explains of the album’s themes: “The story of the album is about a suppressed individual struggling through depression, anxiety, and worthlessness fighting to get well and getting stronger in the process. The songs are all very raw, emotional and somewhat imperfect, because we wanted it to sound like someone falling apart and trying to put the pieces back together.”

Forever Still are set to play a series of live shows in the UK this month, including gigs in Newcastle, Edinburgh, Manchester and Swansea.

“We are super stoked to be heading back to the UK! We had a blast last time and the new songs sound amazing in the rehearsal space. We can’t wait to rock out to them with our awesome UK fans!” says Maja.

You can catch the band on the following dates:

06th Apr: Newcastle, Trillians
07th Apr: Edinburgh, Bannermans
08th Apr: Manchester, Rebellion
09th Apr: Swansea, Sin City

Forever Still release video for new single ‘Awake The Fire’

Forever-Still-Promo-Fall-2014

Danish metal band Forever Still have released a video for their new single “Awake The Fire.”

The track is lifted from the group’s most recent EP, Save Me, the latest in a trilogy of EPs that will be brought together later this year as one package to make up the band’s debut album.

Forever Still vocalist Maja Schønning explains: “The story of the album is about a suppressed individual struggling through depression, anxiety, and worthlessness fighting to get well and getting stronger in the process. The songs are all very raw, emotional and somewhat imperfect, because we wanted it to sound like someone falling apart and trying to put the pieces back together.”

Both Save Me and earlier EP Scars are available now via the band’s official website on a “pay what you want” basis.

Adds Schønning: “We believe that music should be available to everyone – both those who are broke, and those who have a little extra to spare in support of the artists they love. We’ve put a lot of time and effort into this song, so if people want to give us some help for the time and effort, we are very grateful! But if they don’t have the money right now, they can take it, share it and if they love it, come back and kick in later.”

Forever Still announce release of debut album as three EPs

Forever-Still-Promo-Fall-2014

Danish metal band Forever Still have announced that they will release their debut album as not one but three new EPs.

“We knew from the beginning that our debut album had to be something special, so we decided to write a concept album,” says frontwoman Maja. “The overarching plot follows a suppressed individual struggling through depression, anxiety, worthlessness, and getting stronger in the process.”

The first EP, Part 1: Scars, will be released digitally on the 13th of November and is set to feature the title track for which the band recently released a video.

“The Scars EP will be the 1st of 3 digital EPs, which will end up as one big digital AND physical album in the early spring of 2015!” continues Maja. “The EP will cost whatever you want it to cost. Yes, that’s right! We believe that music should be available to everyone – both those who are broke, and those who have a little extra to spare in support of the artists they love.”

“Scars” the song is available for free download from Forever Still’s bandcamp page, and you can listen to it below:
