Gary Clark Jr. shares video for new track ‘The Healing’

Gary Clark Jr. has unveiled a video for his track “The Healing.”

The song is taken from the guitarist, singer and songwriter’s new album, The Story Of Sonny Boy Slim, released last week.

Speaking recently to Rolling Stone, Clark Jr. said of the track: “On ‘The Healing’ track, I played a lot of the instruments myself and got very immersed in the track. Live, I get to hear it all back performed with the energy of live musicians and we can take it further if we want.”

The video for “The Healing” was directed by Gaston Jouany and you can check it out below.

Clark Jr. is currently on tour in support of The Story Of Sonny Boy Slim, opening for Foo Fighters on their North American jaunt.

Singer, songwriter and guitarist Gary Clark Jr has shared two tracks from his forthcoming new album The Story Of Sonny Boy Slim.

“The Healing” and “Grinder” are both lifted from the follow up to the six-stringer’s 2012 LP Blak And Blu.

Says Clark in an official trailer for the album: “Sonny Boy Slim is me – my mum called me ‘Sonny Boy’ and all the cats on the scene called me ‘Slim.’

“The underlying tone of the album is faith and hope, because that’s what we need.”
