Hey! Hello! postpone UK tour as Ginger diagnosed with acute depression

HeyHello Promo 2015

Hey! Hello! have announced that they are postponing their December UK tour dates following frontman Ginger’s diagnosis of acute depression.

The band have offered their sincere apologies to all and confirmed that they are re-booking the shows for 2016.

In an official statement Ginger writes:

“Gutted to have to postpone the Hey! Hello! tour, but the band have been super supportive and I’m very proud to be part of this beautiful bunch.

I’m gutted to miss seeing Dirt Box Disco play too, as they’ve recently become my favourite band and I hope they’ll join us for the rescheduled dates in 2016.

But mostly I’ve been blown away by the fans response. I’m very lucky to have such supportive people in my life. Thank you for being so kind with your concern.

We’ll get this beat, and I’ll see you next year when I feel better.

Have a cool yule, y’all.

Gx”

The postponed London show at the O2 Forum Kentish Town on December 17th has already been rescheduled as “The Ginger Wildheart Show” at the same venue on April 1st 2016. The other affected dates are as follows:

Dec 10th: York, Fibbers
Dec 11th: Stockton, Georgian Theatre
Dec 12th: Sheffield, Corporation
Dec 13th: Edinburgh, Electric Circus
Dec 14th: Stoke, Sugarmill

Wishing Ginger the very best as he kicks the proverbial black dog in the butt… \m/

Hey! Hello! announce headline tour for December and share video teaser for ‘Automatic Love’

HeyHello Promo 2015

Hey! Hello! have announced their first ever headline tour for this December and shared a teaser for their video “Automatic Love.”

The UK shows come hot on the heels of the band’s hugely successful dates with The Wildhearts in September and will provide the first opportunity for fans to hear material from the band’s new album.

Say Hey! Hello! in a statement: “We can’t change the entire world, but we can change our world by using positive thought and actions, and we will spread this message to every pair of ears that we come into contact with.

“Every band member serves a specific purpose in making Hey! Hello! work – Hollis (vocals) is the hyper one, Ai (drums) is the calm one, Toshi (bass) is the resourceful one, The Rev (lead guitar) is the cool one and Ginger (rhythm guitar) is the wise one.

“Music is the sound of feelings, and we are all the creators of our own feelings – positive or negative. Hey! Hello! choose to be positive, therefore our music reflects that intention. This is the sound of joy.”

Support on the tour will come from Dirt Box Disco and an acoustic set from Ginger.

Dec 10th: Fibbers, York
Dec 11th: Georgian Theatre, Stockton
Dec 12th: Corporation, Sheffield
Dec 13th: Electric Circus, Edinburgh
Dec 14th: Sugarmill, Stoke
Dec 17th: The Forum, London (incl. Ginger’s Birthday Bash)
