Huntress have shared clips of all 11 tracks from their new album.

Static is due for release on the 25th of September via Napalm Records and is the follow up to 2013’s Starbound Beast.

Vocalist Jill Janus said recently of the new material: ““The evolution of Huntress bleeds into Static. It is the heaviest and catchiest record we’ve written.”

The band were forced to cancel a planned September US tour to give Janus time to recover from recent uterine cancer surgery. They’ll be returning to active service on the 28th of September when they join the 2015 Motörhead Motorboat Cruise in Florida.

Static is available now to pre-order and you can listen to clips from the album via the stream below.

Huntress reveal new album ‘Static’ is set for September

Huntress - Static - Promo shot 2015

California metal cohort Huntress are set to release a new album in the Autumn.

Static will be out on the 25th of September via Napalm Records and was produced by Paul Fig (Alice In Chains, Deftones, Trivium, Ghost) and Jim Rota (Fireball Ministry, executive producer for Foo Fighters’ Sonic Highways series and producer of Dave Grohl’s Sound City: Real to Reel documentary).

Huntress have teamed up with Pledge Music for pre-orders of the album. Fans who place an order for Static now will unlock the remainder of the Pledge Music page, opening up exclusive content.

Artwork for the album has once again been created by Vance Kelly (Slayer, Alice In Chains, Evanescence, Ghost) who also worked on previous Huntress platters Spell Eater and Starbound Beast.

Says Huntress vocalist Jill Janus: “The evolution of Huntress bleeds into Static, our third and most prolific album. It is the heaviest and catchiest record we’ve written.

“The process of writing and recording was new and exciting, at times very difficult for all involved, having to record in between relentless touring.

“Never have I been so honest in my approach to songwriting; I reveal lifelong personal obstacles that I previously feared weaving into my lyrics.”

Huntress pay tribute to Lamb Of God at Download festival

Huntress

Jill Janus, frontwoman with Huntress, says that her band are being seen as “legit” thanks to thanks to Lamb Of God.

Huntress will play a set on the Red Bull Stage at Download festival this weekend, something which Janus puts down to their supporting Lamb Of God on their US and UK tours.

Speaking to TeamRock Radio at Download, Janus said: “We toured pretty extensively last year with with Lamb Of God in North America, and came over for their UK run. We were able to expose ourselves to a new fanbase. A lot of people were really excited to see us at Download, so we’re looking forward to meeting them again.”

And Janus vows that they’ll be making the most of the Download exposure: ““Stepping into such a massive tour with Lamb Of God, a really legit metal tour, we won them over,” she says.

“What’s really exciting is seeing people come around and become true fans. Being here at Download, that’s going to trickle over.”
