LA based sludge metal marauders Colombian Necktie are streaming a new song via SoundCloud.
Taken from their forthcoming debut album, Twilight Upon Us, “Sleepwalking” is three and half minutes of what Skin Back Alley is coming to love best about the band; a never less than engaging blend of fierce riffs, pent-up, stormy instrumental passages, and the tormented vocals of Scott Werren.
You can listen to “Sleepwalking” here.
Twilight Upon Us is scheduled for release independently on the 19th of August and was produced by Erol “Rollie” Ulug at Bright Lights Studios.
Speaking ahead of the album’s release, guitarist Juan Hernandez-Cruz said: “So much of the record is about loss and the struggle to try to cope in a city [Los Angeles] that isn’t always forgiving. The silver lining is that this experience brought us closer as friends and musically in the sense that it made us all vulnerable and forced us to really listen to each other.”
Look out for Skin Back Alley’s album review of Twilight Upon Us, coming soon.
