Beth Hart, Gregory Porter and Robert Cray have all been confirmed for this year’s BluesFest event.
They’ll be joining an already stellar lineup that includes Elvis Costello, Van Morrison and Sheryl Crow.
Running across six days between Sunday 26th – Friday 31st October at the Royal Albert Hall in London, BluesFest will feature a host of performers in various rooms throughout the venue, with a full schedule to be confirmed.
Says Leo Green, Festival Director: “Several years ago I was sat having a coffee with Jeff Beck – Jeff was going on and on about a singer he had heard, he couldn’t believe how incredible her voice was and told me I had to check her out immediately – her name was Beth Hart and so I am really excited we’ve been able to book her for a show at Bluesfest on Oct 30th. Also headlining that night will be her ProVogue label mate, the incredible Robert Cray, so for blues fans, October the 30th is a date for the diary. Gregory Porter caused a real stir when he performed a double bill with Natalie Cole last year so we are delighted he is coming back to perform an entire evening of his music on October 27th.”
You can watch Beth Hart perform Buddy Guy’s ‘I’d Rather Go Blind’ live with legendary guitarist, Jeff Beck, below.
BluesFest 2014 runs from Sunday 26th – Friday 31st October. Tickets are priced from £20 upwards (subject to per-ticket charge plus order processing fee) and are available from www.livenation.co.uk or www.ticketmaster.co.uk or www.royalalberthall.com
