King Crimson

Details of King Crimson live shows in 2014 have started to appear across the web.

According to a report at Rolling Stone, they will play New York’s Best Buy Theater on the 18th, 19th and 20th of September, with tickets going on sale this Friday, 6th of June at Noon EST.

Meanwhile, Brooklyn Vegan have also listed two additional dates on the 9th and 10th of September at The Egg, in Albany, New York, and the website for the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia lists shows on the 12th and 13th of September.

Finally, the website for the Moore Theatre in Seattle has a show listed on the 6th of October.

Speaking to Uncut magazine in 2013, Robert Fripp revealed plans to reform the band and go on tour: “King Crimson is returning to active service. We are on-call to be ready for a live performance on September 1, 2014. Seven members. Four English, three American. Three drummers. It’s a different configuration of King Crimson than before. Some are familiar names, maybe more than others.”

The line-up for these shows is expected to be Robert Fripp, Gavin Harrison, Bill Rieflin, Tony Levin, Pat Mastelotto, Mel Collins and Jakko Jakszyk. All have been members of King Crimson in the past, with the exception of Rieflin and Jakszyk who have been involved on the fringes of the band for a number of years.
