Muse have shared another video for a track from their new album Drones, released earlier this week.
The new clip for the song “Mercy” continues the theme of individuals losing their identity under increasing pressure from contemporary technological and political demands.
Speaking to Music Feeds, Muse bassist Chris Wolstenholme said recently that the band are very much interested in creating a musical based on the LP: “It would be great to be able to do that at some point. In the immediate future, it’s still an album that the fans haven’t heard, so all we can really think about at this point in time is getting the album out and going on tour.
“But it would be great to have it incorporated into some sort of musical or something. It would be very exciting to be a part of it.”
Muse begin a world tour in support of Drones on Friday, and will headline this year’s Download festival in the UK on Saturday.
