Hey! Hello! release video for ‘Automatic Love’ and confirm rescheduled tour dates

HeyHello Promo 2015

Hey! Hello! have released a video for their new track “Automatic Love.”

Say the band: “The video is a deliberately stark introduction of the new line up, complete with new vocalist Hollis. We didn’t want anything flash, and preferred to let the music be the main focus. It’s raw, it’s loud and sounds like the weekend.

“This is the sound of partying, sex, trouble, fun, hangovers and extreme behaviour of all persuasions, take from that what you will. We’re bringing rock’n’roll back in 2016, and you better believe we mean that 100%.”

The band have also confirmed a series of tour dates for April. The shows were rescheduled following the news in December that guitarist Ginger Wildheart was suffering with acute depression.

Dream Theater stream new track ‘The Gift Of Music’

dream-theater-2013-650

Dream Theater are streaming a track from their new album.

“The Gift Of Music” is one of 34 songs set to appear on The Astonishing, due for release on the 29th of January. The album features a full orchestra, several different choirs and a range of uncommon and unusual instruments.

Guitarist John Petrucci recently told Rolling Stone of the album: “I wanted this not only to be a concept album, but a full show. We needed the storyline, a plot, places, characters, maps — you name it.

“I’m a huge fan of the sci-fi and fantasy genres, so I had a pretty good idea of where I wanted to go. But it was a matter of really diving into it and working on it, revising and revising again, and working on it every day until I had something solid.”

Dream Theater have previously confirmed that they will unveil the album in a live setting during their 2016 European tour. Dates kick off in February with two shows in London at the Palladium theatre on the 18th and 19th.

Megadeth stream new track ‘The Threat Is Real’

Megadeth 2015

Megadeth are streaming their new track “The Threat Is Real.”

The song is the lead track from the band’s new album, Dystopia, due for release on the 16th of January 2016.

“The Threat Is Real” is being released as a 12-inch vinyl single as part of Record Store Day’s Black Friday event. It features a B-side of the band’s cover of FEAR’s “Foreign Policy.”

Says Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine of Dystopia: “I’ve had this outlook for a long time that the world is a really good place with some bad people in it. If you were to take a consensus of people, they know the difference between right and wrong.

“But lately there’s been a decline in how people treat one another. That’s where Dystopia comes in. If people start loving each other and helping those in need – when that becomes more important than power, fame or money – then I think we’re going to be okay.”
