Blood and Fire Records to relaunch

B&F RecordsThe Manchester based record label Blood and Fire Records is to relaunch.

The reggae and dub specialist was originally founded in 1993 and released a slew of records such as re-issues of King Tubby, the Congos and many others. In recent years the label has been dormant, but that is about to change.

The label’s relaunch is in partnership with VP Records, and their first release of 2014 is scheduled to be a limited edition 12″ re-issue of Gregory Isaacs’ 1978 song ‘Mr. Know It All.’ The disc will be available from 19th April, coinciding with this year’s Record Store Day.

In a statement, Blood and Fire have revealed that they will re-release between 10 and 12 of their collections in the next 12 months with each release set to feature new content and packaging. They will also be launching an official line of merchandise, overseen by label A&R boss and co-founder Steve Barrow.
