Metallica have ended their five night residency on The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson with a blistering performance of their Black Album classic, “Sad But True.”
Over the previous four evenings the band have played “Hit the Lights”, “Fuel”, “For Whom the Bell Tolls” and “Enter Sandman.”
The residency was timed to coincide with the 10th anniversary re-release of Metallica’s Some Kind Of Monster documentary, and as a tribute to host Craig Ferguson who will leave The Late Late Show as host in December.
Said drummer Lars Ulrich of the residency when it was announced: “What better way to celebrate Craig’s awesome tenure at CBS than to come and shake the rafters for a whole week.”
