2015 Americana Awards nominations revealed

Artist of the Year nominee, Jason Isbell

Lucinda Williams, Sturgill Simpson and Shakey Graves lead the nominations for this year’s Americana Honors and Awards.

The musicians have three nominations each across the award categories, featuring among a host of other notable stars from the world of country and roots music.

This year’s 14th annual award ceremony will take place on the 16th of September at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium and is scheduled in the middle of this year’s Americana Festival and Conference. The conference features more than 200 artists performing around Music City including Leanne Womack, Patty Griffin and Los Lobos.
